    Discovering Barre Fitness

Stay active, follow a healthy routine with a wealthy nutrition, get a good rest and sleep, and exercise regularly, are the essentials for a balanced mind-body-soul.

Along my life, I’ve tried many sports and trainings, some of them matched my expectations and other didn’t. I also found some of them more beneficial for myself than others.

This year I’ve discovered BARRE FITNESS. It matches well with my way of living, my routines and my fitness goals. Also it has re-connected me with Ballet, a discipline I practiced for about 10 years since I was a teenager and which has helped me to enhance my posture and core.

Many of you might know what Barre Fitness is, but for those who don’t know about it, I will share a glance of what it is and its benefits.

    What is Barre Fitness?

It’s a workout that combines Ballet movements, Pilates and Yoga. The main focus of Barre Fitness is the strength of the muscles supporting the body`s stability. Many instructors use light handheld weights in their classes.

Most of the exercises are a small range of motion movements with high repetitions and low impact. It’s a workout that helps to shape your body, lift the heart rate, strength your core and tone the entire body muscles.

What are the benefits of practising Barre Fitness?:

    -Improves postural alignment.

    -Builds strength and resistance.

-Shapes and tone the body muscles.

    -Improves stretching and flexibility.

-Helps to burn fat and to reduce weight.

I encourage you to give it a try. I’m so happy to have it done! I’ve noticed changes since the beginning, specially in posture and flexibility.

Practice Barre 2 times a week is ideal, this is how often I’m currently taking my classes, combined with other trainings.
